Employee of the Year - 2025
Jon Kimmel
ADA, Okla. – Jonathan Kimmel, Purchasing Director at McCall’s Communities for Life Enrichment, has been named the organization’s Employee of the Year for 2025. The announcement came during a year-end staff meeting with over 200 staff and residents of McCall’s in attendance.
Kimmel originally started his career in 2011. Now entering his 15th year with the organization, he has had hands-on experience at several positions. This bodes well for his extraordinary performance according to McCall’s leadership.
“Jon’s tenure and experience gives him such a strong understanding of department needs and priorities,” said McCall’s CEO John Long. “He is constantly streamlining our ordering and inventory processes and making us a better and stronger organization.”
Kimmel’s commitment and dedication to his role has not impeded his own, personal development. He recently graduated from Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (management). Further, he is enrolled and currently pursuing his license as a Nursing Home Administrator. Longer term, his ambition is to continue to escalate in a leadership role with McCall’s.
“It’s easy to look at Jon’s performance and pursuits and recognize the work he is doing,” Long said. “But, probably most important, is the day-to-day interaction we all see him have with our residents. He has a genuine interest and compassion for our clients; he’s emotionally invested in serving our population.”
Kimmel and his wife, Payton, have two daughters Sophya, 14, and Emma, 13. In his limited spare time, he enjoys woodworking and golf.
McCall’s selects the Employee of the Year from the pool of staff honored as Employee of the Month during the year. Kimmel was recognized as Employee of the Month in September of 2025. His commitment also stands out through peer-to-peer recognition he received several times over the course of the year.
McCall’s Communities for Life Enrichment is home to over 300 individuals with intellectual disabilities, with approximately 130 on the organization’s campus and nearly 200 more living in the community. The organization has existed since 1954 and been Ada-based since 1974.
